We had a mixed experience. On the positive side, she was wonderful with our children, punctual for her daily shifts, and a proactive communicator. Our kids really enjoyed their time with her. However, we unexpectedly had to part ways due to a significant lack of professional notice regarding her schedule. She informed us of a 7+day trip just days before departure, which creates a very difficult situation for our family. While she offered a "local" recommendation for back up, it does not allow us time to interview and vet the individual. We discussed upcoming time off needs for her and our family before she started. We also all agreed to a timeline of around 6 months of employment as she voiced other professional goals after 6 months. I would recommend clear, written communication regarding time-off and expectations of notice if you hire her. I also recommend her for families who have very flexible schedules or where both parents don't work full time. She is a fantastic caregiver, but the lack of professional notice is beyond stressful and could result in potential time lost from work.
