About Gracie

I've been tutoring for over 10 years, starting when I was in college myself, and I still love the moment when something finally clicks for a student. I hold a master's degree in English Studies and have three years of classroom teaching experience, so I know how to meet students where they are, whether they're building basic reading skills or polishing a college application. I'm also TEFL certified and especially enjoy working with multilingual students and English learners of all ages. I can help with reading, writing, grammar, English language learning, homework support, and study skills. For high school seniors, I also offer college essay coaching, drawing on my five years as a professional proposal writer. I coach and edit, but I never write essays for students. I'm patient, organized, and reliable, and I tailor each session to the student's goals and learning style. I offer sessions online or in person, and I have a reliable car for traveling to your home or a local library.
