About Gracie

Hello! My name is Gracie and I have been working in childcare/education since 2022. I was a lead Infant and Toddler teacher at a small childcare center in Vermont for 3 years, and I am currently a children's librarian in the Upper Valley. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in English Literature, and significant coursework and professional development related to Early Childhood Education and childhood development. I am especially passionate about the Reggio Emilia philosophy for education; I believe in patiently following children's lead in exploration and open-ended play, and I view all of their questions and behaviors as opportunities for curiosity, flexibility, and creativity. I am compassionate, warm, and consistent, and my communication and organizational skills make me an attentive and enriching caregiver. Some of my favorite things to do with children are arts and crafts, playing outside, and reading!
