Hello! My name is Grace. I'm an energetic, outgoing, experienced caretaker who would love to assist your family. I recently graduated with my Master's in Teaching, and hold a Bachelor's degree in English and Education. I also hold teaching certifications in NY and NH. I have eight years of varying childcare experience, ranging from nannying, to teaching high school ELA, to working daycare, to being a camp counselor. This range of positions has made me incredibly creative and versatile--I am happy to explore the outdoors with your child, help with homework, play music, teach them how to read, or anything in between--I also have 3 years of ASL education that I am happy to help pass on to your little ones. For older children, I love finding common ground between us and acting not only as a caregiver, but as a friend. My childcare style is rooted in respect, empathy, and fun! Grace was such a trooper with our infant being very fussy (teething?) for her first time watching him today! She was clearly experienced in knowing just how to approach him, being playful and friendly to help him feel comfortable, and was not deterred by the fussiness. She wound up getting him to play and have fun, which was great to see!
