When needing assistance, that could be for a number of things, whatever needs to be done. It could mean for a person. While I am usually a caretaker/companion I understand sometimes one could use a hand to get things organized, or pack some things up, or maybe get the cleaning under control, so needing a hand from time to time doesn't have to be a headache of finding someone, going over needs and expectations, only to hear " oh yes I don't do that" I will help you get things marked off the list to the best of my ability in a timely manner with care. If your loved one is the reason you need help, I am experienced with an array of needs and I pride myself in dignity and respect, as though they were my loved one. I am no longer full of energy but I get things done.
