About Grace

Hi! My name is Grace, and I have over 15 years of experience working with children as a babysitter, childcare worker, and teacher. I currently teach 5th and 6th grade Science with Chicago Public Schools and previously taught 1st and 2nd grade for 7 years. I earned my B. A. in Urban Elementary Education from UOI Chicago and am currently taking graduate courses for my English Language Learner Endorsement. Originally from Aurora, I've lived in Chicago for the past 14 years. I come from a close-knit family with two younger brothers and have always enjoyed working with kids. In my free time, I enjoy crafts, my pets, nature, and athletics, and I love bringing creativity and active play into childcare. I value social-emotional learning, kindness, safety, and creative play, and aim to help every child feel supported and encouraged. I'm also open to light household chores and academic tutoring, with the goal of being a trusted, helpful support for your family.
