I have four years of hands-on experience working with children across three different settings - as a nanny, a pediatric PCICU registered nurse, and a children's gymnastics coach - and each role has shaped the way I show up for kids every day. My nursing background, while no longer my chosen career, gives me a foundation in child health and safety that informs everything I do. I'm attentive to the whole child - physically, emotionally, and developmentally - and I approach caregiving with both warmth and intention. I'm also a previous CPR-certified caregiver and am happy to renew my certification. Grace was our nanny for our girl's first year of life. Her medical background offered a sort of peace you can't put a price on. Her calm and thorough approach helped in those tricky seasons (teething, illness, sleep regression, etc) and I sincerely appreciated her advice. She was an active nanny, not relying on baby tv programs, but interactive play and social outings (probably contributed to my girl's good restaurant skills and communication!). She was instrumental in the success of baby-led weaning and even knew more of our girl's favorites than me. Her gentleness and fun personality was a perfect match for our girl and I was grateful for all the pics during that first year of full time work.
