I have many years experience working with the senior population. I have an associates degree in occupational therapy, but retired to take care of my mother who had dementia. While working as a therapist, I mainly worked in skilled nursing facilities, but also worked as a home health therapist. I've worked with people having various types of diagnoses, including those with dementia. I've worked as an in home caregiver for about 2 years, but haven't done so for awhile and found that I've missed it and am ready to start back again. I can assist with all aspects of daily living skills, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, transportation and light housekeeping.
