About Gissel

Hi, I'm Gissel! I currently work as a substitute teacher, which has taught me to be patient, flexible, and calm in just about any situation. I love bringing that same dependable energy into the homes I work in. I'm a UCSD graduate and a certified teacher with coursework in Early Childhood Education and Early Child Development. I'm also trained in First Aid and CPR, so safety is always at the top of my mind. I've worked with children of all ages, and I make a point of following each family's routines, communication style, and preferences. Respecting your home and helping things run smoothly is really important to me. I enjoy creating engaging, age-appropriate activities, whether that's playing outside, exploring educational games, or getting creative with crafts and stories. My goal is always to create an environment where kids feel safe, understood, and excited to learn and have fun.
