I am finding my way into a the second part of my life after raising our six children. I have always loved reading. I spent a good chunk of our lives homeschooling our children who went on to various colleges and making their way in the world. Reading was the backbone of the curriculum. I chose a curriculum I truly fell in love with as it had such good literature. Where kids in traditional school read on average maybe 1 - 3 books a year in middle school and high school, this literature program had them reading 25 - 30 chapter books through the year. I still heard from the kids as the years went by about the books they loved. They did projects and studied history that tied into the literature selections. It was truly a gift of reading. They found their own love of reading. I have time to be part of your life and hope I can be an extra pair of hands on your journey that opens or helps continue to nurture a love of reading.
