Hi my name is Gina! I love working with children and have been doing so since I was 12 (babysitting, camp counselor, youth group leader, tutor, and nanny). After graduating college I went to work in a childcare facility and soon moved on to a preschool and I fell in love with it. After a couple yrs I moved to N. C. and went back to school at UNCW to get my B-K license. Since moving to Asheville I have been working for 2 yrs at shalom children's center (first year multiple positions, 2nd yr as lead teacher). During that time I took a conscious discipline course as well as a few others to aid in my job performance. Since covid hit I have been nannying. I am patient, loving, and energetic. I would love to create a caring environment and health my relationship with you and your child(ren) in order to work alongside you to build trust, Social emotional skills, and lay a foundation for the love of learning!

Gina is the absolute best. She has been with us for nearly two years (my son is 19 months now and was 3 months old when she started) and is truly a member of our family at this point. Her early childhood development knowledge is exceptional and she has a mindful, play-based approach to child care and education that is stage-based and intuitive. Not only has my son learned a lot with Gina, but she’s also been a huge support for me, emotionally, as I’ve navigated the challenges of being a working mom. She has been a team player every step of the way and has always been open to feedback and conversation about almost anything. I have nothing but wonderful things to say. In fact, it’s hard to imagine there is anyone else out there who cares as much and is as knowledgeable as Gina.
