About Gina

Hello, Learners! I'm Gina, a nurturing, fun, and honest person who has a K-8 multiple subject teaching credential and a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania where I taught English to students in K-8 for two years, which was one of the best experiences of my life. I have been a K-12 substitute teacher, an ESL teacher for adults at UCSD's English Language Institute and San Diego Community College. I've also been an intervention teacher for ELA and have taught English Language Development for 7th & 8th grade. Although most of my experience has been teaching English, I recently got the opportunity to teach 7th grade math and loved it, so I'm interested in tutoring math up to 9th grade math.
