About Gillian

I would describe myself as reliable, organized, and patient and have 20 yrs experience working with children. Most recently I've been nanny to twin 2 yr olds. I started looking after them when they were 4 moth old. Previous to this I was nanny to 6 yr old twins and a 13 yr old with autism. I'm from the UK and worked there as a nursery nurse, a teaching assistant from kindergarten to yr 6, and manager of the school's wraparound childcare for ages 2-11. I've also worked as a pre-school teacher in the US and homeschooled my own children between the ages of 4-10 whilst working part time as a nanny. In the UK I obtained my diploma in Childcare and Education. I have experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities including cerebral palsy and autism. I've held a pediatric first aid and CPR cert for 10+ yrs. I have my own car and I'm a non-smoker. With my skills and experience I can provide an environment for your children that is safe, stimulating and fun.

Gillian has been caring for my twin girls for over 2 years (since they were just a few months old) and she has handled all the challenges of babies (and then toddlers) with grace. She is such a sweet person with a kind and gentle spirit and was just a real blessing for my family. She was eveything I needed when I was a nervous new mom transitioning back to work. She made it easy, because I always felt I could trust they were being well taken care of. She reads to them, takes them on daily strolls, and makes them nice meals. It made me feel good to know that she really cares about them. She is also very reliable, flexible, and great with communication. There were times I would have to go into work early and she was always happy to change her hours and go with the flow. She has gotten me out of a pinch multiple times. Gillian definitely has a special place in all of our hearts. The only reason our time together is coming to end is a change in situation on my end. I will miss Gillian very much and know that whoever 's lives she is a part of next will be very lucky. She's a good one!
