Hello, my name is Gillian! I moved to Providence this past summer and have been working as a Preschool Teacher's Assistant at a Providence private school for the 24/25 school year. Previously, I worked as an Intensive Special Education Paraprofessional for 5 years at a public school in Massachusetts. I have experience with providing various needs for children and those with special needs. I am comfortable helping children with potty training, feeding support, and supporting their social/emotional needs. I have additional experience working with students with medical conditions. I have extensive experience with epilepsy and assisting with the use of mobility aids (wheelchairs, gait trainers, AFOs, etc.), as well as supporting a nurse with G-tube feeding. I have worked with multiple students with vision and hearing impairments. I know very basic ASL and would be willing to learn more to support the individuals I work with!
