Giavanna met my daughter when she was only five years old as a kindergartner. Gia served as her reading buddy as a bright, mature, energetic, and intelligent eighth grader. They bonded immediately. Gia was kind and had an infectious smile that lit up the room. My daughter is now eleven years old and whenever the two of them get together, my daughter is elated with excitement and joy. They have spent time baking, singing and dancing, reading, playing, doing each others hair and nails, or just hanging out or going for ice cream. Gia has become family. Gia often makes the time to show up and surprise my daughter at her dance recitals and pageants, bringing tears to my daughter's eyes. Knowing Gia is to know someone that is dependable while having a kind heart, spirit, and infectious joy that kids simply can't get enough of. We are blessed to know her and thankful that she has been in our lives for such a long time.
