About Gianna

Hey there! I'm Gianna. I'm a preschool teacher and student. I've been working in preschool for about 9 months now, spending the year before as a toddler teacher. Before then, I spent 3 years with a mixed age group, all under 5. Along with nannying and sitting on the side, it's safe to say I know my way around a sensory bin! As a caregiver, my number one priority is safety. I am CPR/First Aid and Safe Sleep certified. Beyond physical safety, making sure the kids in my care feel welcome, respected, & heard is my mission. I come from a RIE, Reggio-Emillia background, so respectful caregiving is absolutely my method. With that, I am also a certified trauma informed caregiver. I've worked with children on the autism spectrum, often with higher needs, as well as an entirely ESL group. I'm familiar with the need to go slow, accommodate, and work through big feelings with patience & compassion. References, trainings/vaccinations, etc. upon request! Thanks for reading!
