About Gerline

My name is Gerline. I love working with children. Their inquisitive attitudes and loads of energy make them a joy to be around. I am responsible, dependable, but also fun and energetic. I am originally from Haiti where I grew up. I studied Early Childhood Education as part of my University Education in Haiti and have an up-to-date CPR and First Aid Certifications from the US. I also have a Bachelor's in Environment Protection as an other part of my college career. I speak French and English. I have more than 15 years of experience. For many years, I was the head of my Family Daycare in my country. This created an opportunity for me to spend time with my own children. Learning through exploration, art, reading, nature and outdoor observations offers a rich experience. Nurturing each child's interests helps them become strong solid people who respect themselves. Working as Nanny and Household Manager here in Boston is a wonderful experience, providing opportunities to meet many families and children of all ages. I am honored to take care of the children I meet, and have a positive impact on their lives. The variety of families that request Nanny and Household Manager Services continues to make each day I work an interesting and fun experience. When I moved to Boston, working with children was so natural for me. I started by volunteering at several school from Pre-k to 7th grade. Allowing children to grow, explore and learn is a rewarding experience that keeps me excited as I continue caring for children of all ages. I believe that children should be given the ability to become independent individuals by setting limits with positive discipline, praise and encouragement. I enjoy being surrounded by children because of their imagination , innocence and creativity. Coming from a very large family, since I was very responsible since I was five, I am a very clean person. I can run a house smoothly and you will take advantage of the fine gastronomy with exotic foods. I am a chef, I do laundry, cleaning, running errands, plan daily schedule activities, pick up and drop off. You just need to relax. I am a non smoker and non alcoholic.
