I'd describe my personality as fun, caring, and kind. I like working with kids because they are fun to be around. I enjoy watching them explore the world, discover new things, and grow and change everyday. I have 30 years experience working with infants. I'm looking for a job that is fun and rewarding I started working with kids when I was a teenager with babysitting. I received an Associated degree in Early Childhood Education. In my spare time, I like to go for walks, listen to music and sometimes watch tv. One thing you should know about me is I am always willing to help out when needed. My skills include keeping kids on a routine/schedule, interacting/ playing with them, reporting any developmental issues I may see.
I cannot recommend Geri highly enough. I have known Geri for more than 20 years, beginning when she cared for my son and daughter when they were young. From the very beginning, she became far more than someone who helped care for my children—she became someone I trusted completely and an important part of our family’s lives. Geri is exceptionally reliable, trustworthy, patient, compassionate, and nurturing. She has a natural ability to understand children as individuals—different ages, different personalities, different needs—and somehow give each of them exactly what they need while creating an environment filled with love, kindness, stimulation, structure, and fun. She is also remarkably calm under pressure. When challenges arise, Geri doesn’t become flustered; she becomes thoughtful and solution-oriented. She approaches difficult situations with grace, good judgment, fairness, and humility. As a parent, I always knew I could count on her to make thoughtful decisions, communicate openly with me, and put my children’s well-being first. What I appreciated most was that Geri cared for my children with the kind of genuine affection that simply can’t be taught. She celebrated them, encouraged them, set appropriate boundaries when necessary, and created the kind of childhood experiences they still remember fondly today. More than two decades later, we remain in each other’s lives. My daughter and Geri still check in with one another, and my children have wonderful memories of the years they spent with Geri and her two sons. I’ve had the privilege of watching her boys grow up alongside my own children, and the wonderful young men they became are another reflection of the loving, devoted parents who raised them. As a single mother, there were also days when I needed more than childcare—I needed someone dependable beside me, a little encouragement, and the reassurance that my children were in capable and loving hands. Geri was that person. Today, when I look at the young adults my children have become, I give Geri an immense amount of credit. She cared for them, encouraged them, taught them, and loved them during some of their most formative years. If you are considering welcoming Geri into your home and trusting her with your children, I can say without hesitation: hire her. Finding someone who is both extraordinarily capable and genuinely invested in your children is rare. Geri is that person. Any family fortunate enough to have her will quickly understand why, more than 20 years later, she still means so much to ours.
