About Georgette

Hi, I'm Georgette. I'm a private tutor, former high school English teacher, and I have a BA in English. I work with students of all ages and in all subjects. My strength is figuring out how each student learns and explaining things in a way that finally makes sense. I'm patient, encouraging, organized, and good at breaking down material that feels confusing or overwhelming. I tutor reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, math, science, history, social studies, world languages, homework, study skills, organization, and test preparation. I also create games, activities, and practice exercises because sometimes the last thing a struggling student needs is another boring worksheet. I believe in teaching the student, not just the subject. If one explanation doesn't work, I find another. My goal is not only better grades, but also stronger skills, confidence, and independence. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy teaching. Learning can be rewarding and fun.
