About Genet

I worked as a family caregiver and also managed care for loved ones, helping them through their transition, for 14 years. For the past 2+ years I've worked as a professional caregiver for private clients in Ojai, and also for Visiting Angels of Carpinteria. I have had much experience working with clients with memory issues, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Disease, heart disease, and needing wound care. I've worked recurring 12 hour shifts, and a 24 hour shift, with Visiting Angels. I also taught Gerontology classes through adult Ed/LAUSD for 18 years in L. A. senior centers and assisted living centers in: Life Skills, Body Dynamics, Memory Enhancement, Creative Arts and Writing, and Psychology of Personal Development. I enjoy cooking delicious and nutritional meals for my clients. I love working with elders, being a positive force in their lives -- I learn so much from them! I received my Home Care Aid certification from the state of California in October 2024.
