Gene helped with caring for my mother by doing more than the basics. She would do lymphatic massage that directly impacted the amount of leg and foot swelling my mom experienced. She helped with occupational therapy exercises on the days OT wasn't visiting. Personal care included showering, daily cleaning of specific need areas, hand and nail care, foot care including toenail clipping and filing and skin care. Gene took my mom to weekly medical infusion appointments and provided cognitive stimulation with mental activities to help boost short term memory and connection. Overall, Gene was a great help and caregiver.
