About Gemma

Hello! My name is Gemma and I'd love to be able to help your family! I have a dual degree in psychology and neuroscience and have completed the pre-medicine track. I am currently in school to get my medical assistant license. I started babysitting at 12 and currently work as an assistant teacher at a Montessori school, where I've gained deep experience in child development. I've babysat and nannied for families across the Midwest and West Coast, including infants and medically fragile babies. In my spare time, I enjoy surfing on Lake Michigan, spending time with my sisters, and gardening with my family. I'm also applying to medical school with dreams of becoming a pediatrician. I'm dedicated to keeping kids happy, healthy, and thriving. My top three childcare skills are: fostering independence through Montessori methods, promoting emotional development, and engaging children in hands-on learning activities that build confidence and practical life skills.
