I'd describe my personality as compassionate, helpful and reliable. I like caring for seniors because they deserve to be cared for. I enjoy being around them and hearing their stories, and helping them find joy and pleasure in life. I'm looking for a job that enables me to help people be more independent in their environment and allows me to give people opportunities to enjoy activities. I started caring for seniors when I started graduate school in speech language pathology over 35 years ago. In my spare time, I like to read, garden, take walks, listen to music and cook. One thing you should know about me is I am reliable and caring and I have a lot of background working with people of all abilities. I am patient and go the extra mile to make sure people feel comfortable. My skills include good communication skills with people. I'm a good listener. My skills also include patience and helping people to adapt to activities in their environment.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have had Gayle care for our mom over the last few years. She has truly been a lifesaver for our family, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! Gayle helped our Mom with errands, cooking, light housekeeping, and companionship. She was kind, patient, incredibly good-humored, and genuinely caring. And her meals are absolutely delicious! She was dependable, communicative, and respectful. We could always count on her to keep us informed, follow through, and make sure Mom was well cared for. What really stood out, though, was the warmth and positivity Gayle brought. She noticed the little things that made Mom more comfortable and happy, and always found a way to brighten her day. Her kindness and wonderful sense of humor made such a difference. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have Gayle caring for their loved one. She is the kind of caregiver you hope to find but rarely do. We are so grateful for everything she has done for our mom and our family.
