About Gavia

Hello! My name is Gavia, and I recently moved to Portland to pursue a Master's in Academic Counseling, after living in Alaska for 6+ years. I've worked with a wide variety of children, as well as older folks -- from teaching STEAM lessons in remote Alaska Native villages, to leading outdoor preschool in my own front yard, to being a live-in-nanny and eldercare provider. I've supported elementary through high school students with learning and behavior challenges, and individuals nearing the end of their lives. I strive to recognize different types of intelligence, ways of learning, and seeing the world. I'm currently working part-time as an eldercare provider, and hoping to find a family with children of any age to support on Mon/Tues mornings, and all day Weds/Thurs. I enjoy cooking and light housework, and have a clean driving record. Thank you for your time and consideration!
