SPECIAL NEEDS, I am a retired Microsoft tech guy who started getting involved in the Autistic community by volunteering for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I have completed the BCBA (ABA) training and have M. Ed. educational psychology from UVA. I am vetted as a care provider for the military and will provide docs and references. I have the required CPR, First Aid & Trauma for Infants and Children. I am a good fit for a family looking for occasional care or a weekend break. I also care for 10-year-old and 8-year-old brothers, both on the spectrum, and occasionally take them to the playground or for weekend breaks, swimming, or horseback riding. I am focused on supporting a child's executive function to prepare them for some independence in a few short years. Remember, a 10-year-old soon to be 18, and needs to have some independence. It takes time.
