Hi there! I have 8 years of experience working with children of all ages. I have cared for newborns, babies, toddlers, grade school children, and at-risk youth. In my past, I was a live-in, full-time, travel nanny for a family in California. I moved to Denver three years ago and have my own acupuncture practice in Wash Park. I have been working with a lovely family in Wash Park for the past 2 years part-time but due to a change in schedule this is ending. I am available to help 2-3 days/wk. I love the outdoors, nature, basketball, tennis, reading, meditating, dramatic arts, international music, museums, cooking healthy organic foods, international travel, natural medicine, gardening, painting and caring for others. Garryn is phenomenal. Over the past 2+ years she has become a member of our family: a 5 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. She excels at the basics of taking care of little kiddos, including handling the juggle of bottles, baby food, and regular food; diapers and potty training; discipline; and nap schedules. Garryn is incredible with all the play and learning. She is creative with crafts, always tries to incorporate a math or counting lessons, encourages our kids to write and focus on pencil grip, using amazing language to promote sharing, and can be silly with the kids while still being the adult in charge. I honestly feel like Garryn is an incredible 3rd parent to my children and they love her like one.
