Hi there, I'm Garnet! I have 7 years of experience caring for children, 5 of those being a professional career nanny. I am currently pursuing a degree in developmental psych and adolescent counseling. Having a daughter myself, I know how important it is to have a strong bond with the person you choose to care for your child. I am CPR/first aid certified and fully vaccinated (including covid). I have extensive knowledge in child development and the energy of a 3-year-old! Garnet assisted my son, a 2nd-grader, with home learning during the 2020-2021 school year. My son has behavioral issues that get in the way of school work, and he is hesitant to trust new sitters. Garnet's combination of childcare experience, education, confidence, and compassion really won him over, and she became an indispensable part of his home learning success. Garnet also worked well with my husband and me. She talked with us often about how our son was doing, asked us our opinions about how to handle difficult behavior, respected our house rules, and gave us suggestions in a respectful way. Her level of interaction with us was perfect: We could leave the house confident that she can handle any situation that arises, but we knew she would share information with us when we returned. Garnet is an incredible person and nanny. We would hire her again in the future.
