I have worked as an interpreter for deaf and mentally challenged children of elementary to high school age. They can be a handful that's for sure. I would prefer to work with Deaf with mental challenges that are young but would prefer not to work with older mentally challenging children. I love all children but, older Mentally Challenged kids and youth are not an appropriate fit for someone in their older years.
