I hired Ms. Gabby as a mother’s helper, and she is an amazing babysitter. My son absolutely adored her. She is loving, playful, reads with him, and enjoys taking him on walks. That said, I was looking for a bit more support with household tasks while the baby was sleeping. From the beginning, I was hoping for someone very self-motivated who would naturally jump in and help wherever needed without much direction. She was always willing to help when I specifically asked or gave direction, but household tasks were not something she would typically prioritize on her own, especially if I wasn’t home. The reason we no longer have her is simply because we moved away. In a different situation, I would have had a conversation with her about being more proactive, as I think that was something that could have improved with clearer communication. I would wholeheartedly recommend her for babysitting. Your child will be safe, cared for, fed, changed, and genuinely engaged with. Household help, however, is not really her strength.
