About Gabrielle

I'd describe my personality as upbeat, joyful and pragmatic. I like working with kids because I think they are our future, everything we do and say has an impact on the people they become. I believe in the future of humanity because I have faith in the goodness of our children and am hopeful that we can help them make the world a better place. I started working with kids when I was in my teens, I have had many other positions but always find myself coming back to childcare or elderly care. In my spare time, I like to garden, swim, hike, identify different species of plants and learn more about the natural world. I also enjoy some light video gaming, creating art and reading non fiction. One thing you should know about me is I have a deep sense of justice and fairness and seek to help others tap into their empathy and understanding. I think it's an important skill, along with patience and respect. My skills include mediating troubled sibling relationships, planning activities.
