About Gabrielle

Hi! I am a recent College of Charleston graduate looking to stay in Charleston for one more year! I am experienced with caring for children. I was a camp counselor for 5 years and led the activities and lessons! I've always had a passion for helping and leading others. Understanding people and empathizing with their needs is at the forefront of my being. The capstone (and research) to my education was based on leadership and secondary socialization. I studied child norms and values, mental health, and the fundamentals of effective leadership. I developed an overflowing passion and understanding for the subjects and I realized that personality and style are the two key components in effectively leading and empowering kids! I'm a transformational leader, which would be perfect for this particular role - meaning, I instill vision into others. I motivate them to reach a high degree of self-efficacy and confidence. I do this by connecting with them and wholeheartedly believing in them!
