Hello families! My name is Gabriela, I'm 24yo and from Brazil. I have graduated in Occupational Therapy (in Brazil) in 2019. I did 2 internships one in mental health and the second one in neurology at a hospital, where I trained/assisted my patients with their activities of daily living, made some Assistive Technology to improve their performance in the activities. My patients mainly condition was Guillain-Barré Syndrome which I chose to be my thesis theme. I had patients that had stroke, quadriplegics. Unfortunately I didn't have time to work after graduating cause I decided to come to US as an pair to improve my english skills, since the most of occupational therapy articles/books are in english and I want to be able to read and understand this material.
