About Gabriela

Gabriela has cared for our children and worked with our family for just short of a decade. For the first several years, starting when our children were age 6 and 3, she worked with us 3.5-4 days per week (working with another family for the rest of the week). For the next several years, she worked full time (plus overtime), exclusively with us. Roughly two years ago, as our kids few older and were spending more time at school, she reduced to 3 days a week with us, and 2 days with another family, which I expect to continue for the foreseeable future. Our children are now ages 16 and 13. Gabriela’s primary responsibilities have always been childcare-related—coordinating activities, helping the kids get to and from school and do homework, attending to laundry, buying groceries, etc. But she is exceptionally hardworking, careful, diligent, and capable, and for that reason her responsibilities grew to helping our family with a wide variety of household and neighborhood tasks. In addition, for the last 5 years she has cared for our family dog, who is more excited to see her than any of us. She has, for her entire time working with us, been conscientious and careful.
