I'd describe my personality as goofy, gentle and confident I like working with kids because you get to watch their little wins turn into big confidence. Seeing a new skill click, like tying shoes or sounding out a word, is the best feeling. I love cheering on for them when they learn something new or when they're able to do something on their own it make them feel good about themselves. I like being a calm, steady person they can trust while they learn and explore. I started working with kids at 17 while I was still in high school. After that first year I realized how much I love this work. I enjoy seeing their wins stack up, from happiness to new skills, and being the steady person who truly cares and helps. It means a lot to offer the kind of support I didn't always have growing up.
