Hello there! I'm looking for a babysitting/pet sitting opportunity before beginning my grad school at UC Berkeley. I was born and raised in San Rafael and excited to be returning to the beautiful Bay Area after 12 years away! As an appointee in the Biden-Harris administration for the last four years, I unfortunately lost my job at the start of the new administration, BUT I'm so excited for this next chapter at Cal. Though I've pursued other fields in my career (I was a press secretary on political campaigns and a clean energy advisor at the Department of Energy), I babysat and worked at summer camps throughout high school and college (Camp Marinwood and Lair of the Bear, respectively). I adore working with children and I believe in creating a safe, fun, kind, and silly atmosphere for kids to play and grow. I am also Wilderness First Responder certified. I'm passionate about being outdoors, cooking yummy meals, reading, enjoying concerts, and spending quality time with my people.

Frances babysat our two daughters (who are 2.5 years apart and *very* energetic), and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was always on time, super responsible, and had such a calm, fun energy that our kids immediately connected with. Frances met them where they were—whether that meant playing pretend, running around outside, or getting curious about their favorite pets, activities and foods—and she even helped them clean up without it feeling like a chore. Our girls absolutely loved their time with her, and we felt totally at ease knowing they were in such kind and capable hands. I would highly recommend Frances to any family looking for someone playful, creative, and dependable.
