I have lots of experience with special needs. My friends and I are active with Shriner's Spina Bifida awareness & camps. One of my best friends and sister has spina bifida. Two of my siblings have limb differences due to amniotic banding. I have experience also working with autistic children, and those with cerebral palsy. Oh, and my uncle had muscular dystrophy but I was very young so I wouldn't count that as experience; however, I have been exposed to it. I have mild OCD and my biological brother has severe OCD as well. I don't know necessarily why I am so passionate about those with special needs. But, I feel as if I can see the potential in them that not many other people see.
