I am a currently a housekeeping supervisor at a hotel in downtown Manhattan. Before moving to New York seven years ago, I was also working as a housekeeper back in my country, Albania. I have a great passion for housekeeping as I am extremely detail-oriented and have a passion for cleanliness.

Fiqe applied for an ad I posted for a twice a week housekeeper. She came for a trial. She worked for less than 2 hours and did a very superficial cleaning- basic dusting, left dishwasher full, did not spray and wipe areas that were clearly dirty, and a task I asked to be done was not done. Using a swiffer duster is not cleaning. Our day to day sitter does more in her fairy cleaning routine. The areas the assistant did was slightly better- but not to our usual standards. We have had housekeeper for 20+ years so know what to expect.

Paid for a full days work and got clearly ripped off. Have to agree with the negative comments on here- you can get so much more for your money. 

We have had Fiqe working in our home for nearly two months now and we are absolutely thrilled with her work. She cleans our large apartment twice a week and misses nothing. Her work is consistent and thorough, and she always go the extra mile in ensuring everything we need done is done to exceptionally high standards. Cannot imagine our home without her!

She is wonderful! She is very upfront with her prices and always asks if there is anything else she can do to make sure her service is exemplary. She was extremely efficient and thorough. I will definitely be calling on her in the future.   

Fiqe helped me out on short notice and worked around my schedule. She completed the job and was very detail oriented. It was a bit more expensive than I may have paid elsewhere, but overall I was very satisfied with the work and will contact her again when I need a follow up cleaning.

Firquette and her helpers have been working with us for two months now.  She's very professional reliable, does great work and wants to please.  Highly recommend with no reservations.

3 star review here because there definitely were some great things, but were also definitely some not-great things:

THE GOOD:
- We had spoken with Fiqe, but initially decided against moving forward because of the price. But, then someone else quit on us the night before, so we reached back out to Fiqe since we were in a pinch and she was able to come the next morning. 

- She was extremely punctual, and showed up with an assistant to help her get the job done.

- Very professional, could tell that she cares about doing a good job

- Most of the cleaning done was excellent (specifically, the microwave and stove/oven)

THE BAD:
- She failed to mention that she was able to come because she was squeezing us in before her other appointments, which made everything feel like it was done in a rush.

- Some sort of cleaning abrasive was used on the top of our toaster oven which stripped away all of the finishing

- We let Fiqe know that our main priority was the kitchen, yet the next morning when we went to put away new groceries the drawers were not really clean and we had to spend time cleaning them ourselves. The freezer was not opened or cleaned at all.

- She initially gave us a price range of $100-$150, and ended up charging $140. She and her assistant worked for 2 hours, which means on an hourly basis her rate worked out to $35/hr/person. This is definitely on the high end, and for that price would expect flawless results.

Fiqirete was very professional.  We hired her for a small but dirty cleaning job.  She got in there and got the job done well.  She communicates well, and does what she says she's going to do.  A real pleasure to work with.

Fiqi is great. She works hard and is extremely professional.  She took control of the house with very little direction.  The house is fresh and clean.  Very pleasant person.  Fiqi asks for feedback on her job because she cares and wants to do the best job possible.

Fiqe does a great job. She's reliable, detailed, and leaves the house clean and fresh. She's been very easy to work with and is always friendly and polite.

Figirete has been cleaning my son's apartment weekly for the last six months, his place looks spotless, same as his closet. She does his laundry,  deliver and pick up the dry cleaning. We highly recommend her. She is the best house keeper in Manhattan.

First we agreed to 10$/hr, then she comes to my 3 bedroom apt in the upper west side and tells me after cleaning two baths that the price for my apt is $90 and if she charged per hour she would drag her hours so I was better off paying $90. Then I contact her again to confirm the $90 and she tells me the price is $180 to come twice a week but that it will take her two days to clean the apt, finely she tells me that for one day a week would cost $150.... NUTS!!!! What an opportunist ! 

Hiring Fiqirete several month ago, and i couldn't be more happy with her . She always on time , very good in communications . So far she cleaned my house about 5-6 times , generally 2-3 times a month , i must say she provided top notch service , everything cleaned properly with love and care. Took care of my clothes folding , closets . And also once helped wash my cat )) .  Every time she cleans my house ,its looks like brand new , move in ready after renovation type look ,...

Fiqe is fantastic! She has helped us on a weekly basis since the birth of my second child. She does everything we ask and more, always taking the initiative to make organizational improvements and provide detail cleaning above and beyond what we have requested (e.g., cleaning windows, cleaning air conditioner filters, removing radiator covers and cleaning underneath and behind the radiators -- to name only a few). Further to this, she is a lovely person - a pleasure to have in our home. We are most appreciative of her help, and highly recommend her!

Fiqe worked for us 3 days in a row over the holidays when we had family in town including little kids.  She was reliable, efficient, and maintained a spotless house.  She was also very warm to all the children.  Her pricing system is a bit weird since she does not charge by the hour but rather a flat rate.  But it all worked out in the end.  I would definitely hire her again.

Fiqe is the best! She comes on time and is always reliable. She will clean anything I ask her to. She is worth every penny. My apartment sparkles when she leaves.  But most of all she is trustworthy and pleasant to be around.  I highly recommend her. She is a true professional!!!

She told me that it would cost no more than $150.00 to clean my NY Apartment. After 3 hours she was leaving. She basically cleaned 1-2 rooms and said she needed to come back to finish the job. The following week, she wanted another $120.00 and said she would finish the job in 3 hours. At that point I would have paid $240.00! for 6 hours of cleaning, You do the math? Come On, even graduates with Masters Degrees don't make that. ...Cash!

Fiqe is great. She is thorough, detail oriented and very knowledgeable about cleaning. Highly recommended!

My wife are I are thrilled to recommend Fique - she's made our home cleaner than I ever thought it could be.  

Her first visit involved a very deep clean and her follow up visits have included cleanings of thing I didn't think possible.

Fique is always on time, she works quickly, and is very personable.  We're very glad to have found her on care.com.
