I have spent the last two years working towards a degree in special education and working with children and adults with special needs. Starting my career in a self contained elementary school classroom, I quickly realized my love for this special population and the love I had to give. Since starting in 2023, I have had the opportunity to work with children with autism, emotional disturbances, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, blindness, and other chromosomal abnormalities. I have been given them opportunity to learn so much through wonderful mentors and teachers I've worked with to be able to support these children with assisted feeding, diapering/changing, learning tools, AACs, braille basics, G-tube feedings, and assisted physical therapy techniques.
