About Fia

Hello!! I recently moved to the Bay Area after 12 years working as a kindergarten teacher and behavioral specialist in Tokyo. I also spent a year as an instructional assistant as an outplacement school for students with moderate to severe autism spectrum disorder where I earned a license as a registered behavioral technician. While most of my experience is working with students under 5, I have experiences with aged infant to 21. I believe children deserve our utmost respect and effort when it comes to supporting their growth and development. I'd describe my personality as patient, observant, and independent I like working with kids because there is nothing more fulfilling than watching a child grow and develop into fully realized humans. In my spare time, I like to hike, sew, and cook. I also love reading. My skills include sewing, cooking, and storytelling. I also love doing art based activities with kids.
