About Farisa

As the oldest child, I grew up taking care of my 4 siblings. Coming from a large extended family, I also took care of my cousins. My love for children is what drove me to become a teacher. I love working with children of all ages. Not only can I provide a safe and fun time, I can also incorporate academics into the experience. I also have years of experience with newborns and toddlers. My grandmother was a health care worker that worked with both adults and children with special needs. I become a substitute teacher and fell in love with teaching and nurturing children that have special needs. I discovered my passion for special education as a teachers assistant for children on the autism spectrum. Since then I have worked with countless children with various needs. I have since graduated with honors and obtained my bachelors in Psychology and Early Childhood Education with a special education endorsement.
