About Everton

After first catching the teaching bug as a Film Instructor at a Digital Media Academy summer camp, I earned an honors BA in Narrative Studies from the University of Southern California. At USC, I served as a Team Leader for three years in an AmeriCorps program called Jumpstart. After graduating, I taught 4th grade full-time at Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton and tutored high school students in English, history, test prep, and college applications. I then accepted a full-tuition merit scholarship to Stanford University, where I completed my Master of Arts in Education, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and Additional Authorization in Literature. After Stanford, I taught 12th grade English at Currey Ingram Academy for two years, and I currently teach History at Davidson Academy Online, a private school for profoundly gifted learners.
