My professional guidelines are straightforward: Availability: Monday through Thursday only (up to 16 hour shifts). Friday through Sunday is closed for family. Payroll: Strictly on the books as a W2 employee via Care. com HomePay or an equivalent household payroll service. Rates: 25 per hour with a 4 hour daily minimum 100 per day.
