About Evan

My tutoring strategy is to build confidence in students so they can tackle difficult concepts with a calm mind. I graduated as valedictorian at Stonehill College with a B. S. in neuroscience and minor in chemistry. I spent three years as a tutor and TA for a wide variety of biology, chemistry, math, and psychology courses. While working as a tutor I was certified by the American Tutoring Association. In the summers I volunteered to tutor literacy to students with special needs impacted by the COVID pandemic. My strategy involves connecting complex concepts to personal interests and breaking them down into manageable steps. I often draw on my five years experience in research and development for cancer and auto immue therapies to demonstrate the teal world impact of my lessons. By actively listening and adapting my strategies I create a supportive environment where you feel heard. Watching your student grow and succeed in the classroom is a deeply rewarding experience for me.
