Experience: 7 yrs
Hi, I'm Evan. I've been a caregiver and personal assistant for about 6-7 years throughout the greater Phoenix area. I've worked with seniors experiencing dementia, Parkinson's, mobility challenges, hospice needs, and companionship care. I also spent several years working closely with a doctor at a private practice specializing in elder care, where I gained valuable hands-on experience supporting patients and families. Families often describe me as patient, dependable, upbeat, and easy to talk to. I genuinely enjoy building meaningful relationships with clients and helping them feel comfortable, respected, safe, and cared for while bringing positivity into their day. I can assist with companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, errands, mobility support, reminders, and daily routines. Non-smoker, reliable transportation, and references available upon request.
When my grandmother first started needing care, she was extremely stubborn, guarded, and honestly very hard on most caregivers. She had reached a point where she didn’t trust many people and had become very withdrawn after losing a lot of her independence. We went through several caregivers before meeting Evan, and from the very beginning there was just something different about him. He never treated her like a “job.” He spoke to her with patience, humor, and genuine respect, even on the difficult days. Somehow, he understood her personality in a way nobody else really did. Instead of getting frustrated, he would joke with her, sit with her, listen to her stories, and slowly brought pieces of her personality back out that we hadn’t seen in a long time. Over time, my grandmother absolutely adored him. He was one of the only people who could make her laugh again, and that meant more to our family than words can explain. She would actually look forward to his visits, which was something we honestly never expected to see again. Evan brought warmth, energy, and comfort into our home during a very difficult chapter of our lives, and I truly believe he has a special gift for caregiving. Any family would be lucky to have him.
