Eunice was my husband's aide for the last 6 months of his battle with ALS (aka Lou Gherig's Disease). She was wonderful to him and to me and I couldn't have asked for a better caregiver to work along side me to give my husband the physical and emotional support he needed and deserved. And she provided me the necessary support I needed to stay healthy and grounded through these months. ALS had taken my husband's voice, his ability to swallow, his breathing capacity, use of his hands, and his ability to manage any of the typical activities of daily living. By the end, he was reliant on a feeding tube and an external respirator much of the day. She handled everything with love and kindness and my husband trusted her completely with his care.
