I worked as a caregiver for 5 years in Singapore and Malaysia. 8 years in the Dominican Sisters in the Philippines as a caregiver too, Almost 6 years here in California in some home care, assisted living facility independent living facility and companion/caregiver one on one. I start my day with my patient morning care.. Prepare all meals of the day. Everyday s walking and exercises depending on their disability. Accompany her/him while watching their favorite program. I make them laugh dance and sing if needed. Prepared medication. Bringing patient to doctor s appointment. Accompany her/him to family and friends gatherings. Accompany my patient at Bingo and other recreation she/him is engaged to. Bring them to manicure and pedicure every 2 weeks or once a month. Trim and dye her hair once a month if they want. At night help the assist and help patient with her evening care. I treat my patient as a family and give all the assistance that they need with love care and compassion.
