About Esther

Esther was patronizing and got defensive when trying to communicate. She was trying so hard to be proactive and promote her skill set that she didn't listen to what the client's family was trying to convey to her. She had her mind set on what she thought the client's needs were, without listening to the family's expectations. Esther stated that to book, she had to be paid up front. She was sent a deposit of $50, and then she requested an additional $250 to finalize the booking. After several conversations, we decided to cancel her booking and asked that she kindly refund our money, $303 paid via Cash App (fee included). She stated, "I do not refund money for a confirmed shift." However, she asked me to communicate via chat with Care.com to secure the booking and hours the day before. In addition, Esther requested that information previously sent to her via text be resent multiple times, as she was unable to keep up with it. When Care.com was asked to assist with this issue, they declined and requested that I write this review to protect other clients. Please know that Care.com does not require payment until the completion of a shift and can only assist with refunds if payment is made within the app. Care.com has a cancellation policy that requires cancellations to be made within a 24-hour window to avoid cancellation fees being applied.
