Esther cared for our son 3 days a week from age 4 months to 16 months. We were very happy with her care. She is extremely knowledgeable about newborns and toddlers and takes time to stay up-to-date on her early childhood education. It's clear that she enjoys her work and the connections she builds with children. She engaged our son with a variety of developmentally appropriate games in Spanish and English, including reading books, singing songs, playing with toys, exploring our neighborhood and later play gyms. She also cleaned up after our son and did his laundry very neatly. She is kind, gentle, and respectful of our house rules. As a San Rafael native, she is familiar with many of the activities for young children. Our son is always happy to see her, and we are very sorry to have to part ways with her. We would highly recommend her to any family looking for a highly experienced, bilingual, loving, engaging nanny for their newborn or toddler.
