About Essence

When I first decided to look into CNA it was just something to do while I was out on maternity leave after having my son but when I actually became hands on with the residents I grew to love what I do. It can be tough at times but the good outweighs the bad. My job skills are to Provide patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, back rubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths. Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Also Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight, recording intake and output information.
