About Esperanza

Hello, my childcare journey started when my youngest sister was diagnosed with epilepsy at 6 months. I was certified for First Aid/ CPR at the age of 14 and have volunteered with children with disabilities for over 10 years. While pursuing my dual degree in Child Development & Spanish at SDSU, I worked at SDSU Children's Center. During my time there I started with my students when they were 5 months and practiced continuity care until they were 4 years old. I supported children and families through huge milestones, created lessons to develop skills, cultivated curiosity, and taught through play. After leaving the Center, I continued to work as a nanny and/or babysitter for many of my students. I have two years of experience as a behavioral therapist working with children with autism. However my passion is to foster individual, physical, & emotional growth in young children. I am CPR/First Aid certificated for infants, children, and adults. & fully vaccinated.
